Explore the various regions of Georgia and the ways these regions influence the life forms native to each region. Educators gain a higher understanding of energy flow throughout trophic levels in these regions, as well as more insight into the life cycles of the animals in these regions. This experience, designed for elementary school teachers, addresses specific Georgia Learning Standards as well as provides teachers with the associated curriculum to implement into their classrooms. After exploring animal connections, educators explore how natural environments not only drive speciation, but also how they are the source of motivation to create great works of art through a second professional learning session at the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University.
As a part of the program, each participant will receive a Classroom Experience Case with materials and resources to utilize in their classroom, as well as a planning ticket to return to the zoo.
